Bishop Calisto Odede

Presiding Bishop - Christ Is The Answer Ministries (CITAM)

Bishop Odede, was born again in February, 1980 as a high school student. He is an education graduate from Kenyatta University (Kenya), biblical studies from Trinity International University (USA) and missiological studies from Bethany International University (Singapore). He is currently a PhD candidate at Stellenbosch University (South Africa).

Bishop Odede, better known to his friends as Brother Calisto (BC), previously worked with the Fellowship of Christian Unions (FOCUS), a body working with students in Universities and Colleges, for 13 years. This included pioneering and directing the triennial Commission Conference four times, which is currently a major students' mission conference in Africa.

He then served with the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES) as Associate Regional Secretary covering the Eastern and the Horn of Africa in English and Portuguese-speaking Africa for eight years.

He joined CITAM (formerly Nairobi Pentecostal Church) as a member in 1988 but came into the pastorate in 2008 where he served as Deputy Senior Pastor CITAM Valley Road, Senior Pastor CITAM Woodley, Senior Pastor CITAM Karen and lastly as the Senior Pastor of CITAM Valley Road. He is an ordained and licenced minister under CITAM. Rev. Odede has also served as the Senior Pastor of Nairobi Baptist Church for six years, having moved in a historic church-tochurch transfer in Kenya, after a request from the Nairobi Baptist Church.

Bishop Odede has travelled to many countries conducting Bible exposition and leadership training and has been a featured speaker at numerous conferences and mission conventions across the world. These include being a Bible expositor at the Lausanne III Congress (Cape Town), Keswick Convention (UK), New Horizon (Northern Ireland), Urbana Missions Conventions (USA),Commission (Kenya), NIFES (Nigeria), Mission Korea (Korea), CIMA (Chile) and numerous other conferences. He has contributed chapters in "Going the Distance" (Keswick, 2012), Power to Change (Keswick, 2016) and "Christ: Our Reconciler" (IVP, 2010).

Bishop Odede is married to Elizabeth and they are blessed with three sons: Victor, Benson and Michael.




Dr. Esther Muchemi

CEO, Samchi Group

Dr. Esther Muchemi is an astute entrepreneur, whose conquered many seemingly insurmountable mountains and has peaked at the top of her entrepreneurial journey having built the empire that is Samchi Group over the last 20 years-a feat that has had her described by one of the media houses as one of Kenya's silent female billionaires.

Before embarking on her entrepreneurial journey, Dr. Esther professionally had built a sterling career in a tier one audit firms, starting out as a trainee in Ernest and Young and rising to the level of partner at PKF, at which point she decided to take a deep dive into the world of entrepreneurship and set up a dukawala on Nairobi's Koinange Street.

That was 20years ago. Today, Samchi Group is a conglomerate of companies in the telecommunication, real estate, hospitality, finance and agricultural sectors. For a number of years Samchi Telecoms has topped the Safaricom Agency charts as the number one Agency owning more than sixty (60) telecom shops across Kenya. Presently Dr. Esther is the chairperson of the Safaricom Dealers Association.

It is therefore no wonder that Esther has won recognition both at home and abroad having been awarded severally by Safaricom PLC (as the corporation top agent for over a decade and with over sixty outlets across the country). She is also a recipient of theGlobal Inspiration Women Leadership Award, Amazon's 100 Global Women Leaders Hall of Fame to mention but a few. Recently Dr. Esther was awarded an honorary degree by Zetech University in recognition for her value-based entrepreneurial achievements, values that she has endeavoured to pass on to the next generation and has immortalized in her book Give Me My Mountain.

As an advocate for value-based wealth creation, Dr. Esther Muchemi has always been passionate and eager to share her experience and industry knowledge to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs. Over the years, she has therefore mentored and invested in a number of young innovators and entrepreneurs-one of her outstanding mentees being Chris Gathingu, the innovator behind the Lipa na Mpesa, sure pay payment system and most recently the M-PESA 1Tap solution.

Esther is mum to Sam and Wanjiru Muchemi, whom she considers hers and her late husband's greatest treasures.




Hon. David Osiany, HSC

CAS, Ministry of Industrialization, Trade & Enterprise Development

Hon. David Osiany, HSC is the Chief Administrative Secretary for the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade & Enterprise Development. He is a consummate policy analyst and communication professional.

His extensive multisectoral experience spans the areas of public policy, governance, trade, strategic communications and government relations.

Prior to his ministerial appointment, Hon. Osiany served as Group CEO of Crestwood Marketing & Communications, a communications company based in Nairobi with assignments across the African region.

Hon. Osiany also previously served as a Special Advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister of Kenya (2012-2013) as well as a Governance Associate for Oxfam GB Pan-African program. A great lover of languages, David also served as a news anchor for Kenya’s leading broadcasting group, Royal Media Services' HOT96 FM for four years.

David holds BA (Comms) from University of Nairobi and MSc in Public Policy from the University of Bristol, England courtesy of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship program. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Central European University in Budapest, Hungary from where he earned his summer diploma in Political Psychology.

As CAS for the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade & Enterprise Development, Hon. Osiany has been a champion for Small and Medium Enterprises, recently earning him the title SME CHAMPION by the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) Sector Board on SMEs.

Known as the #BiasharaTuesdays captain as described on his Twitter handle @DavidOsiany, he is reputed as having pioneered the utilization of social media as a tool for information, education and communication of government initiatives.

The #BiasharaTuesday conversations which he initiated upon appointment has been a transformative avenue for sharing information with SMEs on various government initiatives and the roles of all parastatals and state agencies at the ministry and has been lauded as truly helpful and informative.

Hon. Osiany has previously had lead consulting roles with numerous multinational organizations such as PATH, UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA, NAIRAS among others. He is passionate about nature, environmental conservation and climate action, which earned him the esteemed UNEP-Bayer Young Environmental Envoy awardee in 2009.




Mr. Simon Wafubwa

Mr. Simon Wafubwa is the founder and CEO of Enwealth Financial Services Limited, the fastest growing, most innovative and customer-centric pension administration and consulting services company with an asset portfolio of above USD 800 Million.

He is a born again Christian and has been married for over 15 years. They are blessed with two Children. He is passionate about empowering Christians in the marketplace to be the salt and light to the world.

He oversees the management of a sizeable client base of over 120 clients with over 50,000 lives. Mr Wafubwa has spent much of his career setting up and pioneering change in the social security sector both private and public sectors in Africa and overseas. He is a member of the Pensions Management Institute of the UK and has worked in senior positions in both local and multinational organizations for over 19 years, giving him a broad and extensive experience in social security financial services consulting. Simon is also a Part-time Lecturer (Pension Trustees Certification) at the College of Insurance (Kenya).

Simon is an excellent presenter of complex presentations at very basic levels, blended with mild humor and a mix of intuitive abilities to diagnose participants' needs and provide spot advisory services. He has presented to both local and international training forums on issues of social security trends in Africa.

Currently, he offers motivational speaking, business coaching and mentorship to over 100 budding entrepreneurs playing in different sectors of the economy.




Rev. Edmund Chan

Edmund Chan has a twin passion in ministry — expository preaching and leadership mentoring. His insightful biblical teachings have made him a sought-after speaker in different major cities around the world, often with invitations three to five years ahead.

After leading as the Senior Pastor of Covenant Evangelical Free Church (CEFC) for 25 years, Rev Edmund implemented a successful leadership-succession plan in January 2012. Now as the Leadership Mentor of CEFC as well as Founder of Global Alliance of Intentional Disciple Making Churches (Global Alliance IDMC), he continues to mentor top-level leaders within Singapore and beyond.
